My Biography

 My name is Catalina Rodríguez, I was born on April, 20th, 2001 in Santiago, Chile. I have a twin sister whose name is Tania Rodríguez. I live with my grandma and my sister.

I started going to  Antilhue school at the age of 4 until I was 17. During that time I become interested in cheerleaders and art, I participated in many championships and performances as well as story and drawing contests.

In my life I have done many activities such as figure skating, modeling, volleyball, karate, swimming and dancing. At those years it looked like everything was possible, I used to be very energetic but as I got older, doing it all become hard to handle.

When I was 17 I went to Federico Santa Maria University to study computer engineering. I kept studying and overcoming the challenges of getting into this career but even though I made friends and learned, things became boring and stressful. in the end I decided to take another course.

Today I study architecture at the University of Chile that fits with my math skills and my love of art. Despite everything that happens, I really end up loving this race, I'm glad that my decision was not a mistake and I hope it continues to motivate me.

  Hello, today is turn of our third blog! I hope you like it. As a millennial person I am proud to say... that technology is my worst enemy! my skills regarding technology are a nightmare that day by day I fight to improve. But since this blog is about my favorite piece of technology I can only say that the friendliest is my cellphone. I use it everyday to surf the internet, watch videos, listen to music and even check my work or my online classes, I don´t like to download games because they take up too much memory.  With the powerful knowledge of my phone, I´m ashamed to say that I never call other people because I forget to do it or find it unnecessary, unless it´s an emergency... Why did I choose my major?

HI, Welcome to my second blog. To be honest, my path towards deciding to study architecture was not easy. My first dream as a child was to be a dentist but that dream gradually faded to a point where I didn´t know what I would do in the future or what I wanted, so I just let the days go by.  One day while I was waiting for my sister to be ready, I  saw an architecture magazine in the hairdresser,  i t was just right in front of me so I took it, looked at it and made up my mind,  from that moment I wanted to study that carrer but out of all expectation and maybe out of fear and insecurity, I entered the university to study computer science, I must have been crazy or just lost because I remember that I did not want to disappoint anyone, so I kept going for a year before I gave up, I wanted to study architecture so much that one day I threw it all away and said I would try and that whatever had to happen would happen.  I don´t regret what I did, many people have to...

A Photo and a story

 Hello, today´s blog topic is about a meingful photo and the story behind it!! This is my favorite photo. This is one of the many ways I remember my grandfather, he was not a man who let others see his feelings, many described him as serious or cold but for me he was the only father figure that me and my sister had. He did not smile or laugh much but his actions and the occasional hug said more than a thousand words : he loved us.  He worked hard and his greatest treasure was his family, he did not refuse to give help to those who needed it, photos like these bring to mind everything he did in his life. A disease took him a few years ago but we remember him fondly, I still hear stories of his travels around the world to countries like Australia, Jerusalem, USA and many others.
